Well in short. It was amazing and you should come here. My daughter felt in love with her kid's Salmon (hit the spot with taste and presentation) Steak bowl another top seller and in my book a great experience in all aspects, timing, freshness and quality. Since the pandemic, all restaurants have gone to the QR world. This place is no exception, the software used was exceptionally intuitive. I do miss the time of a good waiter. But, changes are always good in any way.
They are very welcoming. The atmosphere is nice and very clean. This time we got the food to go and the container in which they came were very cute
Cantons still operates out of the sushi maki with a very bare bones menu. The red chilli wontons were decent, I would have liked to have more of the sauce on the wontons, it seemed like the sauce and the wontons didn’t mix. The egg roll is the best I have had, ever. I love the egg roll from cantons. The Orange chicken was very good, I am sad that they no longer have sweet and sour but the orange was good. The pork fried rice was delicious as always. One good addition is the patio seating on the side of the building, it is lovely to sit out there and have a nice lunch.
Came here with my girlfriend and left beyond satisfied. Shane, the manager, was a huge joy to speak to. Shane provided us with top notch service, kindness, and went above and beyond with a complimentary dessert provided from a small mistake on a previous visit. Sushi Maki at Dadeland will definitely be my go to whenever I am in the area!
This place is a true hidden gem. I’m reluctant to say too many good things, lest the wait times increase. The food is always fantastic. This is the last Canton/Sushi Maki that offers the legendary “Canton Steak”. It’s definitely a shareable meal! Sip on some boba tea, snack on some sushi, and prepare to feel like one of the family! Victoria is top notch, with great patience for young children and a fantastic smile!
I drive all the way from Broward to enjoy good Chinese food. This place never lets me down. Been coming here for years! Used to be Canton now Sushi Maki but I'm glad they kept the favorites of Canton Menu.
The manager Shane truly made my second experience worth it!!! He made my wrong order right the second time coming. He went above and beyond to make it a great visit. thank you for such an amazing customer service and the food was excellent! definitely coming back to this location.
Excellent service and food! I enjoyed the vegetarian options for sushi and a very nice hot sake. The fried rice with fried tofu was awesome too. The best part of our dinner was the experience, Karina is an amazing person and she made us feel so lucky to have found this gem. We will definitely return! Thank you Karina! -Katie
